This policy explains how Start and Grow LLC (“Flexi Local”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit flexilocal.com, request an audit, or use our services and the app at app.flexilocal.com.

Who we are

What we collect

• Information you give us: your name, business name, city or postcode, email, phone number and anything you write in forms, chats or emails.
• Account and billing information: details needed to run your account and take payment. Card details are handled by our payment provider, Stripe, not stored by us.
• Your customers' information: when you use our software to send review requests or messages, you give us your customers' names and contact details. We process these on your behalf, as your processor.
• Usage information: pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location, collected through cookies and analytics tools.

How we use it

• To prepare and send your free audit and follow up about it.
• To provide, support and improve our services and software.
• To send review requests, messages and reminders you have set up.
• To bill you and keep financial records.
• To measure and improve our website and advertising.
• To meet legal obligations.

For UK and EU visitors, we rely on these lawful bases: contract, to provide the services you sign up for; legitimate interests, to run, secure and improve them; consent, for marketing emails and non-essential cookies; and legal obligation, for tax and accounting records.

Who we share it with

We share information only with providers who help us run our services, such as hosting, email and text messaging, AI, payment and analytics providers, under contracts that protect it. These include website hosting and database providers, our messaging and review software providers, Google Analytics and AI providers. We do not sell personal information.

Messaging rules

You are responsible for having permission to contact your customers by text, email or WhatsApp under the laws that apply to you, such as the TCPA in the US, PECR in the UK and the Spam Act in Australia. Every message we send includes a way to opt out.

International transfers

We are based in the United States and our providers may process information in other countries. When information leaves the UK or EU, we rely on safeguards such as the EU standard contractual clauses and the UK addendum to them.

How long we keep it

We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed for legal, tax and accounting purposes. We delete account data within 90 days after an account closes, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Billing records are kept for 7 years. Audit requests from people who don't become customers are kept for up to 2 years.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your information, object to or limit how we use it, and withdraw consent. California residents have rights under the CCPA, and UK residents under UK GDPR. Email hello@flexilocal.com to make a request. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to run the site and, with your consent where required, analytics and advertising cookies. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site and, if we run ads, the Meta Pixel to measure them. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before these cookies run. You can change your choice at any time, or block cookies in your browser.

Children

Our services are for businesses and are not directed at children under 16.
